Sidebar and detail panel
The buttons at the top of the window show and hide the sidebar and the detail panel. Hide Side Panels in the command palette clears both. Mod+Shift+L toggles the sidebar.
Toolbar
View ▸ Toolbar shows a toolbar for formatting, off by default. Settings ▸ View ▸ Window ▸ Toolbar Position puts it Floating at Bottom or Below Title Bar.
Quick Button
The button at the right of the title bar runs one command. Settings ▸ View ▸ Quick Button sets it to Zen Mode (the default), Readonly Mode, Source Code Mode or Command Palette.
Zoom
| Command | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| View ▸ Zoom In | Mod+Shift+= |
| View ▸ Zoom Out | Mod+Shift+- |
| View ▸ Actual Size | Mod+Shift+0 |
On macOS, you can also pinch on a trackpad. To change only the text size, use Settings ▸ View ▸ Font ▸ Use Custom Font Size.
Full screen and always on top
View ▸ Toggle Fullscreen (F11) fills the screen. View ▸ Always on Top keeps the window above others.
Dark mode
Settings ▸ View ▸ Appearance is Auto, Light or Dark, with a separate theme for each. See Themes.
