Purchase ​

For activating a license, see License and Activation.

Pricing ​

Typora is a one-time payment, not a subscription. A license belongs to one person, can be activated on up to three devices, and doesn't expire.

If you aren't satisfied with Typora for any reason, you can get a full refund within 30 days of your purchase.

During the beta, Typora 2 has its own limit of three devices, separate from Typora 1. See Devices.

Upgrading ​

If you have a Typora 1 license, upgrading to Typora 2 is free.

Whether upgrading from Typora 2 to Typora 3 will be free has not been decided.

Free trial ​

Stable versions of Typora come with a 15-day free trial. During the beta there is no trial, and you need a license to use Typora 2. See Without a license.

Buying a license ​

Go to store.typora.io and order a license. The checkout accepts your payment details, and you can change the currency there.

After the purchase you will see your license code. The code and a link to your invoice are also sent to your email address.

Where to buy ​

Please don't buy from unauthorized resellers, for the security of your license and for better customer service.

Currency ​

At checkout, choose your country or region first. This sets the currency and taxes, so the final price can differ slightly.

Coupons ​

At checkout, paste your code into the Coupon Code field and click Apply. The price updates once it is applied.

If the purchase doesn't go through ​

  • Turn off ad blockers on the checkout page and refresh it.
  • Use your personal email address, not a private or temporary one.
  • Turn off any VPN or proxy.

Teams and organizations ​

To buy several licenses, click + or the quantity (x1) on the website, or the cart icon at checkout.

There are no bulk licenses that activate a large number of devices. Each user needs a license, which covers up to three devices. Someone with more than three devices needs another license.

You can use Typora for commercial purposes with a license, activated on your company's devices.

Free licenses ​

Contact us about a free license or a discount if you have contributed to Typora, for example with accepted translations, themes, bug reports or reviews. We send coupon codes to contributors whose email address is on their GitHub profile, so check your inbox and spam folder first.

Tax ​

  • VAT number: at checkout, choose your country. If it is supported, a field for the VAT number appears.
  • Tax or VAT/GST refunds, and tax-exempt orders: see FastSpring's support page.

Orders and invoices ​

After a purchase you receive a receipt by email, with the product name, license code, price, order reference and a View Invoice link. If it doesn't arrive, wait a little and check your spam folder. If you still can't find it, contact FastSpring support.

Refunds ​

You can get a refund within 30 days of your purchase. Find the invoice or fulfillment email from our distributor:

We reject refund requests if you have resold your license code to someone else. If you bought Typora from a third-party reseller, please follow their refund policy.
